Our summer Wednesday program 2010 is off to a good start. Twenty- one attended the Safe Hearts Program (CPR class) at the Suncoast Professional Firefighters & Paramedics office in Venice.  The instruction  is a "lay" person's class geared to non-medical professional people.  It was quite informative and entertainingly taught by EMS/Fireman Brad Jacobs.  This simplified but complete coarse in CPR and the Heimlich Method was easy to understand and remember with basic A, B, C, D rules.  All laughed a lot, while learning these basic life saving techniques.   Afterwards 8 of us went to lunch at Snook Haven enjoying the view and pleasant breeze.
