Bitter Ends - Venice Women's Sailing Squadron

Home Interclub "Sail 'n Fun", March 30, 2011
Thank you Lynn Paul for her wonderful work on our "Sail n' Fun" Interclub. The weather was rather odd and yet we had a good turnout from out of town. Everybody enjoyed themselves (right Mardi?) and we all got back alive! Congratulations to Nancy Muldoon for taking 1st place in prams. Martha, from St. Pete, took 2nd place in prams. The Sunfish didn't get to complete a race, as the wind turned very gusty where they were racing. Thank you to Beth Anderson for making the lunching arrangements at the Venice Yacht Club patio for us. Lunch was very good and it seemed efficient the way Beth and the VYC staff worked it out. Sylvia Turner made cute paintings of Sunfish and Prams and they were awarded for participation in the race to out of towners. Nancy Muldoon won a very nice tray with sailboats on it and Martha won a Venice, Florida towel.  Thank you Karen Williams and DeDee Connor for pictures.  Thank you, Carolyn Holmes, MadSaltyDog, for this write-up.
